About Selina

Hello there! I'm a driven individual with a 99.65 ATAR, proficient in both Mandarin and English. Currently, I'm pursuing my law degree (LLB) at the University of Sydney. While my academic pursuits have primarily focused on law, I have a deep passion for language and culture. That's why I'm eager to embark on a journey of teaching Mandarin to non-native speakers. Beyond the classroom, I'm motivated by the desire to forge connections with people from diverse backgrounds, make local friends, and immerse myself in the rich tapestry of global cultures. Through teaching Mandarin, I hope to not only share my language skills but also learn from others and foster meaningful cultural exchanges.

About the lesson

With over 4 years of tutoring experience, I've had the privilege of working with over 30 students in Chinese and literature. Through personalized guidance and tailored support, I've assisted two students in achieving state ranks. Additionally, I founded a HSC tutoring center to further empower students in reaching their academic goals. Whether you need assistance with language skills or HSC preparation, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

I'm eager to explore teaching Mandarin at the elementary level as I'm looking to transition into a new teaching field. Drawing from my expertise in language instruction and educational background, I'm excited about the opportunity to introduce young learners to the richness and beauty of Mandarin. My goal is to create engaging and interactive lessons that foster a love for language learning and provide a strong foundation for students to build upon as they progress in their studies.
