My approach to teaching is finding the student's method of learning first. I understand the concepts of being either a visual type learner or a person who prefers an audio approach. I believe it is imperative for the learner to be receptive to the teacher. I am willing to give a 100% of my time, knowledge, and patience when teaching.
I am currently working on my doctorate in geropsychology. I started tutoring back in the 1980s when I was in high school. I enjoy helping others. I earned several degrees online and I am comfortable with several different online learning formats.
I am looking for an online/remote position as a researcher/proofreader in psychology, gerontology, or related fields for high school through university students and as a tutor or teaching assistant for kindergarten through elementary students in reading, math, science, and art instruction. I have proven myself to be self-motivated, dedicated, and determined in achieving my goals to the best of my ability. I am continually growing in the areas of time management, communication, organization, and research and look forward to sharing my knowledge and online learning experience with others.
