I believe that everything begins with the proper warm up. That may be different depending upon the character, medium of performance and style of the role. I begin with breath work and base the rest on what is required of the actor based on our further work. I am also happy to address specific questions the actor may have about the role. I have a flexible approach that depends on the role and the actor. This does not mean it is not demanding, only that one will get out of it what one puts in.
I am an acting, voice and speech and audition coach with a specialty in the classics. I have been coaching acting for five years overall and three here in NYC. I coach professional actors and students during productions and auditions including for college and conservatory. I have helped students work on their American pronunciation, warm-up technique, breath work, character work and script analysis to help them nail that audition or performance.
My general rate is $30/hr but this kind of training works best with multiple sessions. I give one hour free for every 5 hours purchased in an advance. Cancellation/Rescheduling is free if it's within 24 hours of when the lesson is scheduled to begin. Within 24 hours, I charge half the price of the lesson.

Ariel is the best teacher for you! She is welcoming, patient, and a great fit for any level. Her knowledge of the classical contemporary theatre world is phenomenal. She is offering super affordable prices: it's a tremendous value. I totally recommend coaching with Ariel!
Having known and worked with Ariel for almost 15 years now, I am extremely confident in recommending her as a trustworthy and knowledgable acting teacher and audition coach. We attended undergrad together at SUNY Fredonia for Acting, and Ariel then went on to graduate from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting Evening Conservatory (a 2 year program equivalent to a Master's). I have seen Ariel's acting process grow and develop into a rich and reliable method that creates vivid and lively characters on stage and screen. I have also had the privilege to act with her not only in undergrad, but most recently Off-Broadway during the 2019 WINTERFEST. She is a joy and pleasure to work with now just as she was in Undergrad! I've also had the pleasure of being coached by her in my acting work for stage and screen, and she has been incredibly helpful in coaching me for self tapes, as well, and is a very generous reader. Did I also mention she is FUN? I could keep speaking to Ariel's praises, but basically you need to work with Ariel and experience her fabulousness for yourself!
Ariel is a tremendously talented actress and teacher. She is patient and very knowledgeable regarding acting technique, voice work and relaxation exercises.
I highly recommend her!
Ariel helped me prepare for a video audition that I was nervous about and I would definitely work with her again. She helped me focus in the scene and make the pacing better. She also asked a lot of questions about the character and encouraged me to be creative without a lot of pressure. She was fun to work with and made it way less stressful than it would have been. I would definitely recommend her as an audition coach.
