Actress and Dancer With Over 5 Years of Experience Gives Acting and Dance Lessons at Home or Online in San Diego, CA

I base my teaching methods on Meisner, Alexander, Method, and Chekhov. I will also include some improvisation to start with that way people don't feel uncomfortable. That being said, I will curate the lesson plans based on the individual or group being taught. Furthermore I want to make sure that this heals others in the process through performance.

I am an actress and dancer with over 5 years of experience. I studied at the University of Arizona with a major in Theatre Arts and minor in Nutrtion in 2019 with a Wildcat Achievement Award. I have since gone on to teach local children and adults of all kinds in my crafts and hope to do more of it in the future. The theatre I primarily do professionally is contemporary, classical, and avant garde, especially the ones that speak on global and domestic issues.

Geneva's resume

My name is Geneva Casebolt. I am graduated from University of Arizona in 2019, where I just received B.A. Theater Arts degree and Nutrition minor. I am from San Diego, CA and have hopes of starting my own business to fulfill both my creative and entrepreneurial ventures. This opportunity as a teacher to other aspiring creatives interests me because it spreads an important message and gives way for accessibility for the millennial generation. Furthermore, I believe that my performance experiences in working with other theater makers and dancers makes me a good candidate for this opportunity.

My theater experience has given me a diverse perspective. It has allowed me to wear many hats from ushering to producing shows. Aspects that deeply excite me. Furthermore, the past productions I’ve done have allowed me to work with other artists and a gain a perspective on working and life. These opportunities have allowed me to develop interpersonal skills, problem solving, and time management skills. The creative and technical process of putting on shows allows me to learn more from theater makers who know more than me and find a balance of fiscal resources.

In terms of work experience, I have done a lot of volunteering for local organizations, civic events, and libraries. These opportunities are in alignment with my goals for the theatre/dance company I am hoping to start. Furthermore working these events have opened my eyes to what collaboration is like in the real world, how productions are funded, and what improvements can be made to solve our world’s greatest issues. These opportunities have also included tutoring others in Academic subjects including English, Health, and Spanish. Subjects I am very passionate and knowledgeable about through the Health Certificates I have received.
The skills I hope to gain from working with this opportunity is to make connections with other aspiring artists and be that mentor for them as I give the guidance I have developed over the years. I hope to live and thrive authentically working with a company/group of people that promotes a spiritual, mental, and physical balance, and healthy lifestyle while still being creative. Moreover. I believe in the power of collaboration as it is becoming a norm for all work places. It’s a reason why I am looking fund this important project. It gives way for new and innovative ideas and helps solve the world’s greatest issues. Not just the theater world but other businesses. This means finding creative solutions to solving both the artistic and financial problems of our world. Furthermore I believe in creating a business and working with the arts can help give other millennial once in a life-time experiences. An aspect that this show has. Not just a spectacle.

Overall, I would be honored to help produce and perform in this heartwarming event as it is important to create art that heals, not just entertains. I am available for an interview via Skype, FaceTime, etc. at whatever time works for you.
