About Andy
I have been tutoring since August of 2012.
Before that, I taught for three years at the University of Oklahoma math department as a graduate teaching assistant. Also, I taught for three years at the Kansas State University stats department, again as a graduate teaching assistant.
I have a year's experience teaching math and AP stats to high school students at Academics Plus Charter high school in Arkansas.

I have taught algebra, trigonometry, and statistics to high school and college students.
I acknowledge that there are many students that need to shore up the math and/or stats foundations that are assumed known for a current course. When this occurs, I will take some time to explain the unknown parts which have been assumed for all who need.
When introducing materials, I usually start with an example or two, and then talk about the math patterns or repeated ideas that describe the examples in general. Then, more examples are presented and the kids start to do similar problems on their own, with help as is needed.
