To Whom It May Concern:
I have a very strong interest in pursuing an accounting career. I would like to have the opportunity to learn more about your position and how I may be able to add value to your organization and educational system.
I have been passionate about teaching and education since obtaining my Master and PhD degrees. As a full time instructor at Los Angeles ORT College since 1998, I have had the opportunity to guide my students in various courses. These courses ranged from Basic Microsoft Suite to Accounting Principles. In fact, I initially started out as College Accounting instructor and was promoted and asked to teach additional courses due to my teaching style.
My educational background consists of several post-graduate degrees that I obtained while studying in Iran. I held numerous teaching positions at educational organizations utilizing traditional classroom methods and computer aided programs to teach math and accounting concepts. I helped develop an after-school program which allowed students who needed additional aid to study and practice without the fear of classroom embarrassment.
As an entrepreneur, a partner and I created “Compu-Teach,” an after-school program in which students gained an understanding of mathematical essentials through cooperative learning. This helped lead a pathway in providing private tutoring for students in need of help in topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and other mathematical concepts. I have been able to effectively break down complicated concepts to simple examples that students can grasp.
My various teaching and personal experiences have allowed me to develop an understanding of both younger aged and adult students. I have been able to effectively communicate and administer programs that have allowed them to gain a sufficient understanding of mathematical and accounting theories.
I have attached my resume as I look forward to speaking with you. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns, as references are available upon request.

Thank you for your consideration.
Respectfully yours,
Jamshid Kamjoo

To Whom It May Concern

I would like to recommend Dr. Jamshid Kamjoo for your open position. I believe that any organization would be fortunate to have such a dedicated, conscientious, and loyal employee. Here are my reasons:

1. I have known him for more than three years, while we both served as faculty members at Los Angeles ORT College. Indeed, Jamshid served the college for some 18 years. He started as a "Computerized Accounting Instructor" in August, 1998. He was promoted to "Technical Master Teacher" in June, 2006, overseeing several faculty members at the college.

2. He is a caring instructor and mentor who place students' interests at the top of his priority list. He routinely turns off his cell phone, whenever he is teaching, to set an example for his students. He often gets appreciation letters from his students, who often describe his teaching style as "awesome!" His "Teacher Evaluation Survey" ratings are often over 90%! The Fall-2003/Spring-2004 issue of the "ORT Operations USA News" nominated him as an "Outstanding Teacher at LAORT Technical Institute."

3. His students have successfully completed the National Competency Test, as Bookkeepers, for 3 years. Their Average Score is consistently much higher than National Pass Rate.

4. When I significantly revised and updated the college's "Digital Media Program," he served as the liaison between the college leadership and me. I found him inquisitive, yet open-minded, meticulous, dedicated, and positive. Once he realized the importance and the quality of our proposals, he fully supported our efforts, and consistently completed his review by our agreed deadlines. As a result, we successfully overhauled the program in record time.

In short, I recommend Dr. Jamshid Kamjoo without reservations. As a former faculty member who researched, published, and taught MS and PhD level courses in Managerial Accounting, Project Finance, and Financial Management, I am confident that Jamshid will be a great addition to any organization, in academia or industry, in any of these areas.

Please contact me via E-mail or at (concealed information) if you have any further questions.

Very truly yours,

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of a former colleague at Los Angeles ORT College – Dr. Jamshid Kamjoo. Although I no longer work there, I was hired by Dr. Kamjoo three years ago to help launch and refine ORT’s new AA degree in Business Management. As Master teacher for the technology department, Dr. Kamjoo was my direct supervisor and we worked very closely for the two years I was there launching, refining and teaching the Business Management program. In addition to supervising me, Dr. Kamjoo supervised other instructors teaching different business related courses and he was also the Accounting instructor.
In all my dealings as both a direct report to and colleague of Dr. Kamjoo’s, I can say he is both an excellent administrator and extremely dedicated to his staff and students. I have been an interim Director of Education and instructor at another career college prior to working at ORT (L.A. College International). Simultaneously, I kept teaching all that time online and sometimes on ground at Santa Monica College and The University of Phoenix and continue to teach at both, so I have a broad base of reference to make that kind of statement.
He is knowledgeable, thorough, punctual, very patient and polite, no matter what the circumstances. Additionally, from everything I was able to determine from different students that took both his accounting classes and my business classes, he was also an excellent and effective teacher. He always received high ratings from the students in his accounting classes from what they told me.
He is the epitome of a scholar and a gentleman and I am happy to give him the highest recommendations based on the two years I spent at ORT with him before leaving to attend to the increasing demands of my consulting/representation company InTeReP/MG&A.
Please feel free to call me with any further questions.
Sincerely,

Monte Gast

Dear Recruiter:
I am pleased to add my recommendation to the candidacy of my colleague, Jamshid Kamjoo, whom I have known since 1999.
Jamshid is dedicated, dependable and knowledgeable. He has willingly accepted and performed many challenges in difficult situations. His teaching and administrative skills are excellent. His students have been a diverse group, which often included immigrants, whose first language is not English. He effectively gets his message across and they obtain jobs in our economy.
Students often return after graduation to thank him for his insight and many call on him for guidance in their jobs. This reflects the positive effect he has on his students and their admiration for him.
I highly recommend Jamshid without any reservations. I have no doubt that he will make a valuable addition to your organization.
Very truly yours,
