As an artist, I did not come by the skill with what many assume is a natural ability. I learned to draw through practicing various techniques and using different tools. It is through this approach that I teach others how to draw and paint.

I received my first scholarship in Art during my senior year in high school and studied art as a student in Community College. I have illustrated for two authors in the San Antonio area, and I have taught private individuals and classroom students. I have over a thousand hours of work in the watercolor medium.
Perfect! Tarrell was very watercolor savvy and super patience. I find her very easy to communicate with and feel I will learn much working with her.
Charles is open to trying new techniques and quick to integrate it into his work.
Tarrell is a truly talented and inspiring person and a great art tutor. It's a pleasure working with her in her cozy and calm space, filled with her own amazing art. Highly recommended for children or adults!
I have known Tarrell for eight years and I taught alongside her for three years. Tarrell is a skilled artist who is extremely passionate about her students.
In our private discussions, she often shares her desire to help her students grow in their abilities. Any student who chooses Tarrell as a teacher will be pleasantly surprised by the amount of thought and effort she puts into teaching them.
Tarrell taught me to paint birds (blue jays and cardinals) in watercolors and I was so amazed by the results. I didn't know I was capable of creating something so beautiful.
Tarrell has taught two of my sons. One took her class for sophomore English and the other one took her class for consumer math. She had a good syllabus for each class and if the students didn't understand an assignment or something from class, they were able to ask questions and get feedback. She uses class discussion to really help her students understand the material and to draw them out to see how well they understood the reading or the assignment, etc. I found her communicative and open to feedback. My sons enjoyed her classes and learned a great deal.
