Methodology
I am a credentialed California teacher who has been teaching language arts, creative writing, grammar, history, science, religion, and yearbook for eighteen years. I also possess a CLAD certificate, which entitles me to effectively teach those wanting to learn the English language. I am a published author, and I am working on another book. I am a grammar and phonics expert but enjoy encouraging creativity in every aspect of teaching. I like to vary my lessons and assessments to meet the needs of all students.
Background
I have worked at several different schools and taught many levels of students. The age group I taught in the public sector ranged from middle school to high school. In the private sector, I have taught kindergarten through eighth grade. I have worked with many students who were gifted as well as challenged. No student has ever left my class without improving in academics as well as self esteem.
