Award Winning Freelance Writer with 7 years of experience looking to give writing classes

Methodology

I teach writing to various ages from elementary school through high school. I use a student-centered approach to teaching based on meta-cognition; I achieve this by giving my students the tools to state their thinking aloud and reflect upon material being studied.

Background

I have taught writing to students in both classroom and online tutoring settings. I have also taught both general and special education students as well. A group of my former students took what they learned in my journalism class to create a podcast. For seven years, I have written for various publications including Poetica, The Jewish Action (Orthodox Union), The Jewish Press, and Tidewater Family. In 2018, I received a First Place Simon Rockower Award for Excellence in Writing About Women.
