About the lesson

I am a writer and performer and English literature is my first love. Playing with the English language can be simple and even joyful! I give lessons to ESL students as well as a range of levels from elementary to college level, including adult learners. My students have gone on to graduate college with honors and learn English as their second language. A lesson might look like breaking down writing step by step and asking a series of questions to reach the heart of the material.

About Emma

I've been offering tutoring in English writing, reading and grammar for over 5 years. Since graduating with my Bachelors from UC Berkeley in 2019, I've taught over 50 students of all ages. Thanks to our combined efforts, my students thank me for giving them confidence and high grades. They enjoy feeling comfortable in our lessons and feel heard and understood. I help with anything from essay writing and research papers, to editing grammar and spelling, to creative writing, to vocabulary expansion and reading comprehension.
