My methodology involves the focus on either vocabulary or grammatical concepts, with activities integrated into each lesson to enhance the comprehension of the topic at hand. I personally design homework assignments for the student and encourage them to watch or read Spanish media and bring their reactions and questions about the words or grammar they encountered to the class.
I have been giving lessons for the past year and have taught 15 students ages 10-50, most of whom were high school and university students. I am Argentinian-American and completely fluent in Spanish and English, and I have been living in Madrid, Spain for the past year, where I was enrolled in a Master's program taught entirely in Spanish.
I am familiar with a variety of vocabulary, grammatical structures, and phrases that are used in Spain and South America. Additionally, I completed my Master's in organic chemistry at la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in Spain, and my courses were all taught in Spanish.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Research Assistant - Undergraduate
Institution: Departament of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Santa Clara University
Period: 9/2016 - 6/2017
Description: I performed and optimized Diels-Alder cycloadditions to produce sp3-brominated photoinitiators for atom-trap radical polymerization (ATRP) reactions in an undergraduate research project. Different techniques, including Lewis acid catalysis and UV photodimerization, were employed to optimize the synthesis of the photoinitiators, whose reactivity was subsequently evaluated in ATRP reactions with styrene to produce polystyrene.
Research Assistant - Master’s Thesis
Department of Organic Chemistry
Universidad Autónoma de Madrid
Period: 2/2018-7/2018
Descripción: The research I conducted for my Master’s Thesis focused on cobalt-catalyzed C(sp2)-H activation/functionalization reactions of benzylamine derivatives bearing a picolinoyl directing group. The first phase of my research involved optimization of Glaser-Hay homocoupling reactions to produce a library of 1,3-diynes bearing R-groups of different character. The second phase of my research focused on the characterization of the different products produced by the Co-catalyzed reactions via bidimensional NMR spectroscopy.
Tutor
Institution: Independent
Period: 11/2017-present
Descripción: Private tutoring classes in English, general chemistry, and organic chemistry to elementary school, high school, undergraduate, and medical students as well as adults. I use a variety of activities and exercises which are designed to maximize the student’s comprehension of the subject. I also design homework assignments so that the student continues to practice the material outside of the classes. If the student is preparing for an exam, I create practice exams and challenge problems and use them to teach problem solving strategies and time management.

LEADERSHIP/MEMBERSHIP
Vice President of Santa Clara University's Chemistry Club
Period: 9/2016 - 6/2017
I printed and hung up informational scientific posters in the chemistry department; these posters depicted different topics in chemistry that related to the season or to environmental issues. Additionally, I organized ACS Program-in-a-Box viewings that were offered to chemistry, biochemistry, and biology students as extra credit. I also moderated the meet-the-speaker sessions that enabled students to meet the scientists that visited the university to give talks.
Member of the American Chemical Society (ACS)
Period: 4/2017-present
Benn is fantastic, he is very nice and happy. He has a lot of patience when teaching if you need anything, he will always help you. He has been helping me for 3 years and I cannot be more grateful. Benn has a lot of knowledge of organic chemistry, he loves it. I have known Benn for 3 years. We shared a few classes during our postgrad years.
