I focus on building up solid foundations and filling in any gaps in knowledge before going into more higher-level topics. I like to cater to my student's natural curiosity and tell them the real-world applications to what we're learning and why we're learning it. I also build the intuition and reasoning to solving problems in the topics I'm teaching so that they do not just memorize the kind of problem, but be able to reason it out themselves. A typical lesson plan would be to get to know my student's strengths and weaknesses and create lessons that focus on their weaknesses while strengthening what they already know. My lessons are for anyone interested in chemistry or biology.
I am going to be a 3rd-year undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I've had a passion for teaching ever since I was in middle school and I've tutored ever since. In middle school, I was a part of my school's tutoring program and in high school, I was a chemistry TA and helped set up a National Honor Society tutoring program there. I love learning and have many different hobbies such as dancing, singing, poetry, listening to music, etc.
I am a motivated student with a 4.0/4.0 GPA and am currently studying biochemistry. I am a part of the Schlau-Cohen lab and completed the UPOP training at MIT. The content of the lessons I will be teaching is dependent on the student's needs.
