About Farrrah

Hi! My name is Farrah and I am currently as senior in college in a human biology major with a hope to go into biostatistics. I love taking my dogs on walks, going to class and being with my friends! I currently have 2 siblings who are also in college so we love to visit each other. Family is huge for me!
I understand how stressful school can be, I struggled in some of my topics but with the help of a tutor to explain the how and why in more detailed 1 on 1 lessons it allows you to feel comfortable and confident to make mistakes and fix them. Many times the topic presented to you is not as hard as it seems, you need to break it apart and really understand each step that goes into place. Without the understanding is where struggling took place for me until I was able to have those questions answered and concepts fully explained. Everyone needs a little extra help and push, including myself! That is why I am here to support and aid you in any way I can! I know we can do it! Especially you ;)!

About the lesson

As an individual who recently took these courses I am able to relate and teach at a much closer level. My teaching style is first by going over the basics, finding the route of potential confusion and answering all questions so there is no room for error. My lessons would mainly consist of explaining the concept in terms that the listener can understand, completing any work that is required for them but also going over extra problems to be prepared for when they are on their own.
As an individual who needs to ask many questions in order to gain understanding of the concept this further allows me to aid others in ensuring my responses are detail oriented and don't miss a beat. Further explanations are always needed to know to how and why this happens. It allows students to really gain a grasp of their work.
These lessons would be mainly for students who need some extra help or may be struggling in certain topics regarding math or sciences. As a bioscience major I have taken many science courses along with math.
