I completed my M.S. in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology in 2014 from the University of Southern California (USC). I completed my B.S. with a double major in Biological Sciences and Physics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Illinois (UIC) at Chicago in 2011. I actually had the credits for a BS in Mathematics but they would not let me triple major. Point is, I have the required credits, took the same classes that someone with a B.S. in Mathematics has. I also have a B.A. in English Literature from UIC.
My main subject that I teach is Biology. I had a 4.0 / 4.0 GPA as a Biology undergrad. For my MS my GPA was 3.7 / 4.0.
My lesson structure is simple. I listen to the student and then figure out the best way to teach them something. I have experience tutoring from when I was a tutor as an undergraduate and as a graduate student.
This is my first time tutoring online. But, as I said above, I tutored other students throughout my education. I tutored usually 2-4 students per semester. And the students I taught always had their grades improve. Every single time.
BA - English Literature
BS - Biological Sciences/Physics/Mathematics
MS - Molecular Microbiology and Immunology
This was said above but will say here: My main subject that I teach is Biology. I had a 4.0 / 4.0 GPA as a Biology undergrad. For my MS my GPA was 3.7 / 4.0.
I was having a difficult time in my statistics class which I needed to pass in order to graduate. I enlisted the help of a graduate student at the time, Michael, who explained the processes to me in a way that made sense. I am so thankful to him for coaching me as to what was important and relevant in the testing and making the time to really help me understand the material. I wouldn't have been able to further my academic career without his help.
Michael is very passionate about education. Michael has labored to excel in multiple disciplines through out his college career. His knowledge spans a range of multiple disciplines including literature, biology, physics, and mathematics. I believe that with his knowledge in so many subjects he is able to bring a unique perspective to student-teacher relationship that very few others can offer.
In short, Michael's hard work and dedication as well as his vast knowledge in multiple disciplines make him an excellent candidate for teaching others. The passion and determination that drove him to excel in various field's and to attain multiple degrees is in my opinion only matched by his resolve to bring knowledge to anyone with the will and determination to succeed in their educational goals. I hope that anyone that reads this review will accept this recommendation, and choose Michael as their companion through their pedagogical journey.
