About Maelie

My fascination with biology began in childhood, when I found joy in observing plants, animals, and the natural patterns of life. That early curiosity grew into academic study and eventually evolved into a lifelong passion for teaching. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students to understand how life functions on both micro and macro levels, from cells to ecosystems. My teaching style is inquiry-based and student-focused. I encourage learners to ask questions, challenge ideas, and see biology as a living subject that’s constantly evolving. Through visuals, analogies, and experiments, I make learning interactive and relatable. I believe the best way to learn biology is to experience its beauty through curiosity and context. Outside of teaching, I remain engaged in environmental education and science outreach programs that promote sustainability and awareness. For me, teaching biology is about inspiring a sense of wonder and stewardship for life. Watching students develop not only knowledge but also empathy for the living world is what makes my work meaningful every day.

About the lesson

Biology is the study of life in all its beauty and complexity. My lessons are designed to help students see beyond textbook facts—to understand how living systems work together in harmony. I start each session by connecting biological concepts to real-world experiences, showing how what we learn in class applies to the body, environment, and daily life. This connection sparks curiosity and transforms learning into discovery.

Each level of study is carefully structured. Beginners focus on cell biology, genetics, and ecology through guided discussions and visual learning. Intermediate students explore physiology, evolution, and microbiology with practical examples, while advanced learners dive into molecular biology, biochemistry, and environmental systems.

I emphasize observation, critical thinking, and inquiry—helping students see biology not as memorization but as a story of relationships and functions. By the end, learners gain not only deep understanding but also an appreciation for the living world and their role within it. My lessons aim to build scientific literacy, curiosity, and a lifelong respect for nature and discovery.
