Biology undergraduate with college-level teaching experience at UCLA and high school tutoring

Methodology

I have given lessons to high school and college level students for the most part with some volunteer experience in teaching elementary school students through 4-H. My technique of instruction is participation and practice based rather than lecturing. My biggest goal is to maintain an environment in which the student feels safe to make mistakes.

Background

I tutored a high school sophomore for a year in AP European History, Honors Chemistry, and Honors English courses. In my first two years as an undergraduate student at UCLA, I was a Learning Assistant for two college biology classes.
