Biomedical engineering student in Phoenix looking to tutor in math and science
Methodology
I have experience teaching children, as I have often helped my younger brother and cousins with their school work. However, since I took advanced courses in high school, I am knowledgeable in most high school material and am capable of teaching it. While teaching, I look for the student's weaknesses and help them improve while also reinforcing their strengths. I never look down on students, and I always encourage them to ask any questions they may have. I am willing to help in anyway I can, and I try my best to explain something that the student doesn't understand in a manner that will make it seem easier or more understandable.
Background
I am currently a student at ASU, and I am majoring in biomedical engineering. Throughout all of my schooling, I have been very proficient in all subjects, but I am especially adept in mathematics. Currently I am knowledgeable in all math up to Calculus 3, and I have experience with teaching math to younger relatives and fellow classmates. However, I am also willing to teach other subjects, especially sciences such as Biology and Chemistry. I am also fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish, and I am capable of teaching it. In terms of accomplishments, I began taking honors classes in 4th grade, and I took a total of 11 AP classes in high school. Even with such rigorous courses, I maintained a GPA of 3.9 and graduated in the top 1% of my classes (3rd out of 340 students).
