I got my Business degree at Cal State LA. The highest level of math I had to take was Statistics. I'm really good at trigonometry, and I found myself tutoring my friends in college. I look at the notes, and then I explain myself as many times until it makes sense to the student. I show them different techniques that I learned at school, but I give them the choice as to what sticks better. I believe in flash cards to remember formulas. I am a patient tutor.
I have been giving lessons for about two months already, for about 4 hours a week. My student improved her test scores by 40% and her overall grade was a B, she's getting her associates degree at a community college. Shes the first person I've actually charged for tutoring.
I am a sales agent at Starline Tours, pursing marketing in the tour industry. On my free time, I enjoy tutoring. It reminds me how everyone has a difficult time in different subjects. I enjoy math now, but I wasn't always great. I remember being 11 years old and staying after class every day because of math being difficult. With math there's always one answer, there's a method to get that one answer.
