The first thing I do is listen to my student. It doesn't matter if they're 12 or 22. I want to know where they are coming from and where they would like to go. I have a bachelor's in chemistry from FIU so I know how rough undergrad can be. I always motivate my students with real-life applications of the subject, not just filling their heads with abstract ideas.
I have given STEM lessons for over 10 years. My youngest pupils ranged from grades K-12, whereas my more mature students were in upper-level college courses. Overall, I have helped a dozen students or so. Many were pre-med, others were engineering students, and I still check in on them to this day.
I conduct research in quantum chemistry so I promise you that no class is too tough to learn!
My lessons are conducted via Zoom so there's no need to worry about a travel fee.
