Central Saint Martins Fashion Design with Print student !! offering fashion lessons: fashion sketching, sewing, embroidery, design development, video and photo editing (Adobe Creative Cloud)

Methodology

New times require new methods. With all this time on our hands, it's the perfect moment to start a new path of study. Isn't it?
My lessons will be adapted to the online format, with a personalised online schedule (where you would be able to check your weekly homework, and the date, length and material needed for every class) with homework through email every week and tutorials via zoom. Now moved to in-person too.
I've put all my knowledge in technology together to make this impressive course, personally designed by me. I’ve done about 200 hrs of lessons with Superprof.

The fashion industry englobes loads of different skills.
It's not only about the actual creation of the garment.
My ambitions in different fields of study has helped me develop a strong personal style. I am interested not only in the future of the fashion industry, but in the way this will shape our lives and daily routines.
My growing interest in computing and automatisation has helped me envision a different way of making fashion. I try to design, develop, create and produce social, problem-solving and futuristic garments that will somehow help human beings. I believe in Fashion as a motor of change.

Things you will learn with me: problem-solving, development and materialisation of your ideas, design development, pattern-cutting, garment making and computer skills (photoshop, illustrator, indesign, CLO 3D, Blender) to make you stand out inside the industry.

I'm sure you will be glad enough after your lessons with me, as we work hard in class, and we cover a lot of concepts. At the end of every lesson with me, my students usually have a clear feeling of having learned a lot in such a short period of time.
Isn't that what we all want to?
Lear efficiently, USE YOUR TIME WISELY !!!!

Send me a lesson request to know more xx

About me ,
21 years old fashion student.
Made in Spain based in London.
2 years teaching fashion.
Sewing since I'm 12.
+ 20 students have gained fashion skills with me.

Recently diagnosed with ADHD and with loads of students with different learning disabilities, I deeply believe in the power of hard work and passion for anything you want to archive in life. That's what I also indirectly teach, that everyone is capable to reach their own goals if their focus and energy are the proper ones.
I'm currently studying two degrees in two different universities, at the same time as I'm a tutor for about 10 hrs/ week and I daily deal with my ADHD. My learning disability makes me even more ambitious. You still think you can't do it?

Perfect! Ana is friendly, very helpful and always prepared for our lesson. I feel I’ve learnt more in a few lessons with Ana compared to my whole 2 years at sixth form. She sends extra PowerPoints or any extra help I need or ask for. She does not mind repeating any questions or explaining more than once. I can’t wait to keep learning with her thank you Ana xx

Ana's response

I have been working with Ellie since her first steps using Photoshop, which we are using to prepare her portfolio. She is so hard-working and incredibly creative when it comes to putting her ideas into the page. Her work is stunning. Keep working that way Ellie xx

Perfect! Ana is an amazing teacher! Her methodology ensured I understood everything I was being taught, I enjoy the classes as she's very patient and is happy to go over things again. She is really well prepared and even takes the time to set homework that is specific to your needs. I highly recommend having Ana as your tutor!

Ana's response

Lucrézia is an ambitious student in the best sense of the term. It's beautiful to see the passion she has for learning such diverse stuff. We are working together on her first steps using the Adobe Creative Cloud pack. And even though the lessons are intense (3hours), she follows them without any trouble and quickly understands every concept.

Ana is the best person to have on your side as she will always be there to help you on whatever you need. She has helped me grow as a person and be confident in what I do. This and also in the art aspect. Ana has showed me different ways to work with many materials and techniques to portray what I want to show through art. Ana has been my biggest support in all these aspects.

Maria

Ana is one of the most honest people I know, she is talented and humble. She has been surrounded by kids all her life, they are 5 siblings so in terms of education she knows how to deal with people.
She is sociable, open and she is constantly smiling, she will be an incredible teacher.

Interview with Ana

QUESTION 01 | 08
When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?
Ana — As long as I can remember, I have always been trying to find my creative scape. And it reaches a point, when you have been doing something for such a long time, that it is inevitably part of who you are. I often struggle when it comes to explaining myself, and this has been happening since I was a kid. As if drawing was the only approach to materialize what I had inside. To make it real and palpable.

It is not just a passion or a hobby anymore, but something intrinsic to my inner soul.
QUESTION 02 | 08
Which artists or works affect you the most?
Ana — 'Basquiat' is undoubtedly my main engine. But parallel to my development as an artist, I feel influenced by other waves such as innovation, where 'Iris Van Herpen' is a master; technology, with brains like 'Tom Galle', 'Antoni Tudisco' or 'Chad Knight'; and fashion, where 'Palomo Spain', 'AVAVAV Firenze' or 'Windowsen' influence my practice.
QUESTION 03 | 08
What are the qualities and skill required to succeed in this area?
Ana — GRIT. Because of its direct connection with success. Understanding grit a passion and perseverance for very long-term goals. The power of sticking with your future and working hard to make it a reality.
QUESTION 04 | 08
What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?
Ana — Bringing back this idea of when life shuts the door, open it again. It is a door, and that is how they work.

The first thing we need to understand it that art is not maths, so it has not been written under the rules of logic. If you find you are losing your focus, get out, get active, subject your body to different stimuli, then settle a clear goal, and make it happen.

And leave your instinct to drive you.
QUESTION 05 | 08
How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?
Ana — I would not describe it as a passion anymore, but as an extension of who I am. I have always relied on art, and that has shaped my personality and biggest ambitions.

When people ask me to explain what I do and why I do it, I don't usually have an answer. I think the mind is extremely powerful and everything we do derives from a pre-settle idea that has been trapped somewhere in our subconscious, we do nothing arbitrarily.

Somehow, when we are creating, that is externalized without us going through the process of meditating the idea, it just comes out as a superior impulse than the apparent simplicity of the 'free will'. It is after creating when you can find the meaning of what you are doing, when you can try to understand yourself.

As an art critic of your own piece.

And that makes me feel alive.
QUESTION 06 | 08
What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?
Ana — My creative nonconformity. I would consider myself a multifaceted person, drawn to multiple fields that I tried to merge in one. My ambitions to create something distinctive make me investigate in fields far away from mine, that indirectly enriches the person I am.
QUESTION 07 | 08
Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?
Ana — It is beautiful to see how a person flourishes when you give them hope. I have seen many students being so assertive about their incapability to draw or generate creative content. But as every kid has the power to draw without the barrier of shame, adults have it too. My small brother showed me how creativity is not lost in a way inversely proportional to our age, what we lose is the intrinsic ability to believe in the potential that we all carry within.

As soon as they lose the embarrassment, their progression flies.

The power of our mind is endless.
QUESTION 08 | 08
Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?
Ana — As a creative, I try to nurture other's creative ambitions to build the confidence they need to succeed. There is no stronger force than the power of believing in yourself. The mind is a magnet of success.

I teach through constructive criticism, to uncover all the potential my students carry inside.
