My teaching method follows the I do, we do, y'all do, you do approach to teaching when I am teaching. In other words, I model what I want my students to learn, then we do what I just modeled, then the students do what I modeled without me, and then the students will individually demonstrate how to do what I modeled. During my lessons, I use a lot of technology based assessments, graphic organizers, anticipation guides, Think-A-Louds, and other assessments in order to show if individual students have mastered the material that I have taught. Before teaching students, I always ascertain if students are kinesthetic, visual, or oratory learners, and then I plan my lessons to best suit my students. When I introduce new material, I make sure to relate the new material to something that the students already know and to something that the students are interested in.
