I have three teaching styles that I determine to use when meeting new students. I try to always make sure that my method is suited for their needs.
The Demonstrator, or coach style, retains the formal authority role by showing students what they need to know. The demonstrator is a lot like the lecturer, but their lessons include multimedia presentations, activities, and demonstrations. The Facilitator, or activity style, promote self-learning and help students develop critical thinking skills and retain knowledge that leads to self-actualization. The Hybrid, or blended style, follows an integrated approach to teaching that blends the teacher’s personality and interests with students’ needs and curriculum-appropriate methods.
I am currently a second grade teacher in the Gulfport School District of Mississippi. I have taught second grade for two years and third grade for three years. I have a Master Degree in Educational Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi. I have tutored kids of all ages and in all grades (k-12) in mathematics for over 6 years.
