Methodology
Even though, direct teaching is the only option in some cases, I like exploring and investigating together with my student. After understanding the terminology and the subject, practice matters. I would prefer my student solves enough number/variety of questions to reach mastery at the target topic/skill.
Background
I have been teaching for more than 23 years, a certified Math teacher in Missouri for 5th-12th graders. I have thought students from different countries in their math curriculum. As a result of one on one tutoring, most of my students reached their goals. I also worked with students who received remarkable achievements in math competitions.
