About Akash

I am a Bachelor of Technology(B.Tech) Graduate. I like to teach Maths to all level of students for help in their courses, exam preparation etc. I have 4 years of tutoring experience in Mathematics.

For 2 years I taught in school. From last 2 years I am teaching online. I have also taught students from various countries and continents, UK, Spain, USA, Canada, Middle east, Japan, Thailand, other parts of Europe etc. It equipped me with lot of resources to help students to understand the subject easily and efficiently. I also play math games with kids.

My students have got highest score of 7 in IB, HL. Many of my students are performing very good in their schools, among the toppers. I encourage the students to improve from wherever they are now.

I always make my class very interactive. I also take help of videos to explain difficult concepts. I am very patient in teaching, trying to explain things from a different angle until student understands the concept.

I teach MATHEMATICS, STATISTICS, MECHANICS etc...

Teaching over the years, I have a wide range of collection of books, practice questions and websites from which I provide relevant questions for students to practice.

I am available to teach on both weekdays and weekends, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I teach online via Zoom, Skype, Google Meet etc.

When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
I have been very interested in Mathematics and Science subjects since secondary school. I started teaching during my Bachelor studies where I would help many of my friends to understand the subjects in an easy way. Now, I am formally working as a teacher. I have also worked as a school teacher.
Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).
I teach Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanics, Biology, Statistics. I also like to inspire students to use the knowledge that they are receiving to improve their lives and lives of those around them.
Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
I have had many role models in teaching, especially during my high school. I especially liked a teacher who was very intelligent and at the same time very calm.
What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?
Enthusiasm, Patience, Respectful and Friendly with students, Dedication, Compassion… All these are wonderful qualities that make one a good tutor.
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.
During university preparation, years 12 and 13, there was so much to study. I would sometimes go to bed early and wake up in the middle of night to study (although it was very rare). Also, I would feel very ecstatic on solving a very difficult question.
What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?
The challenges I faced in my studies were trying to understand an advanced topic while I do not have the knowledge of previous topics. It would become very difficult and sometimes I would have to learn by rote. But now as a tutor I can help students to understand the basics nicely so that it is easy for them to study advanced topics.
Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?
