I teach in a casual setting, utilizing digital resources, videos, hands on learning, and reference materials to assist my students with understanding the topics. I will never try to convince you your teacher is doing something wrong - rather I try to help you understand how to solve problems now so you can utilize the problem solving techniques later, in your current classes and beyond. I am able to tutor students in middle and high school with mathematics through calculus (including AP Calc AB/BC), as well as college students with their calculus courses.
I have an undergraduate degree in civil engineering and a graduate degree in urban planning. In both my student positions I held a teaching assistant role - first for introductory engineering courses, and then for an Advanced ArcGIS course in graduate school. Students found my assistance extremely helpful because I provided details on their issues with homework, professors, and grades. I am able to concisely communicate how to solve problems and break them down into and understandable format. My interdisciplinary background allows for me to assist people who are not traditionally "good" at math and science with understanding the topics.
