My method is personalized according to the musical interests of the students. Depending on what the student wants, I can offer courses in classical guitar, rock guitar, blues, jazz, songs, music theory, note reading and piano lessons with the James Bastien's method. I can also offer a personalized study plan for each student.
I am a guitar and piano teacher with more than 22 years playing guitar and more than 10 years with experience teaching guitar and piano lessons. I'm currently studying music at the University of Costa Rica and have participated in guitar competitions and taught guitar and piano lessons to many people of all ages over the past 10 years.

Inicia sus primeros estudios en la guitarra con el guitarrista y compositor Alonso Torres a la edad de 15 años. A los 17 años decide estudiar guitarra clásica y se incorpora a la Escuela Superior de Guitarra con los maestros Andrés Saborío y Guido Sánchez. En el 2005 entra a la etapa básica de la Universidad de Costa Rica y al año siguiente le otorgan el certificado por haberse distinguido como Alumno de Honor de la Etapa Básica en guitarra.
En el 2010 participa en el Concurso Nacional de Guitarra quedando como ganador del tercer lugar – Nivel Superior y más tarde es elegido como uno de los cuatro estudiantes de guitarra escogidos para tocar el Concierto Andaluz (para 4 guitarras y orquesta) de Joaquín Rodrigo que se dio el 2 de octubre del 2010 en el Teatro Nacional. A finales de ese mismo año, hace su recital de Bachillerato bajo la tutela del Maestro Guitarrista Jorge Luis Zamora en la Universidad de Costa Rica.
Ha ofrecido recitales como solista y ha participado en numerosos conciertos con la Orquesta de Guitarras de la Universidad de Costa Rica (concertino) tanto en Costa Rica como en las principales salas de México, Nicaragua y Honduras.
Ha recibido clases maestras de perfeccionamiento con algunos de los maestros más reconocidos del mundo como Luis Zumbado (Costa Rica), Ricardo Gallen (España), Ernesto Cordero (Puerto Rico), Carlos Pérez (Chile), Jorge Luis Zamora (Cuba) y Alexander Tsiboulski (Ucrania).
Su carrera guitarrística no solo ha sido estrictamente clásica, ya que desde sus 15 años ha colaborado con bandas y con ensambles de música popular aprendiendo y empapándose de músicas y ritmos latinoamericanos como el bossa-nova, reggae, rock bolero, tango, folclor, jazz, etc.
Actualmente se encuentra terminando su Bachillerato con énfasis en Guitarra y en enseñanza de la Música en la Universidad de Costa Rica y trabaja como profesor de guitarra en línea y a domicilio.

He began his first studies on the guitar with the guitarist and composer Alonso Torres at the age of 15. At the age of 17 he decided to study classical guitar and joined the Escuela Superior de Guitarra with teachers Andrés Saberio and Guido Sánchez. In 2005 he entered the basic stage of the University of Costa Rica and the following year he was awarded the certificate for having distinguished himself as an Honorary Student of the Basic Stage in guitar.
In 2010 he participated in the National Guitar Competition, remaining as the winner of the third place - Higher Level and later he was chosen as one of the four guitar students chosen to play the Andalusian Concert (for 4 guitars and orchestra) by Joaquin Rodrigo who was gave on October 2, 2010 at the National Theater of Costa Rica. At the end of that same year, he gave his Baccalaureate recital under the tutelage of Master Guitarist Jorge Luis Zamora at the University of Costa Rica.
He has given recitals as a soloist and has participated in numerous concerts with the Guitar Orchestra of the University of Costa Rica (concertmaster) both in Costa Rica and in the main venues of Mexico, Nicaragua and Honduras.
He has received advanced master classes with some of the most recognized teachers in the world such as Luis Zumbado (Costa Rica), Ricardo Gallen (Spain), Ernesto Cordero (Puerto Rico), Carlos Pérez (Chile), Jorge Luis Zamora (Cuba) and Alexander Tsiboulski (Ukraine).
His guitar career has not only been strictly classical, since since he was 15 years old. He has collaborated with bands and popular music ensembles, learning and immersing himself in Latin American music and rhythms such as bossa-nova, reggae, bolero rock, tango, folklore, jazz, etc.
He is currently finishing his Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Guitar at the University of Costa Rica and works as an online and at-home guitar teacher.
