About the lesson
BA degree from Metropolitan State University, with full-ride talent scholarship. Major: Piano Performance, Spanish, with minor in theatre. I resided in LA, CA for 12 years, touring world-wide as lead vocalist with band, and a solo-artist. Currently recording a new album of original songs.
Lesson structure: I use method books from beginning to advanced: Lesson, Performance, Technique and Artistry, Music Theory. I incorporate improvisation in each lesson, and encourage students to compose original songs--both lyrics and music, if interested. I love the "Blues!" Blues improvisation and 12 bar blues progression is taught in every key.
I am outgoing, and lessons with me are fun. Music is a joy, --it is my passion: The essence of my soul.
I welcome the opportunity to teach new students, and I am flexible with scheduling. Every student is unique and gifted in their own way. Teaching is by far the most rewarding work I have done in my life! It is exciting to see my students develop into fantastic musicians!
With my love of performing, and experiences traveling the world touring, I encourage my students to share music with others.
My goal with each lesson I give, is to make my students feel excited and want to practice skills they learn at home. Playing music well is to "Feel the mood of each piece, and play with dynamics, artistry, excellent technique and expression.
I have an annual student recital every spring. I just presented the "Shining Stars" recital: A Celebration of Music; at Precedence Music Academy on April 22. What fun!
Music is my love and my passion. I hope you'll join me for innovative and fun learning experience. there is no better feeling than bringing out a student's creativity and help them realize their potential!
Peace and Blessings!

I have been a piano and voice instructor for 9 years, following much success as a professional musician in LA, CA and abroad. I toured in Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Australia, South Africa, Croatia, Mexico City and Egypt.
I currently teach at Precedence Music Academy, with 30 wonderful piano and voice students. Each student holds a special place in my heart.
With a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance, and 13 years of performing/songwriting/recording experience, I am so blessed to have discovered that teaching music is my true calling and passion.
I sit at my piano for hours every night after teaching, and I write new original songs for my next album. I have laid down 6 of the 12 tracks at Sunnydaze Productions in Montrose with my fabulous producer.
