I have graduated from college with two degrees; one in mathematics and one in adolescent math education. I have also been a graduate student and am currently writing a thesis paper.
I try to give lessons in a straightforward matter, but will ask the student questions when practicing to help guide them to the answer. I always ask the student what their logic is when they work through a problem as it helps them find their error or know that their logic works but might be inefficient or even just as. Even with a right answer, the student needs to be confident in it.
I give and have given help to students in middle school around age 12 to adults going back into school around age 50. I've been doing so for about 8 years while teaching courses at a local community college, containing anywhere between 6 and 30 students.
I have experience both in the classroom and with individuals looking to either pass a class in general or obtain a better grade on a test concentrating on specific material.
