About Corey
I am a college graduate who has spent a lot of time in a tutoring setting. During my two years as a peer tutor, I helped countless students with both mathematics and theology. I gained my experience in both subjects through my degree program. I came in as a math major but switched to theology; I still finished the math minor.

When I tutor math, I like to help students see problems in their simplest terms. I often will slow down problems, pull them apart, and even draw them out visually. I believe that if a student doesn't even understand the premise of the problem, it is infinitely harder to solve it. I also try to demonstrate additional strategies that can help a student navigate a problem much easier. Most importantly, it is my goal to help teach a student how to approach problems if they are not sure how to start. For that reason, I emphasize the "why" instead of the "what" when it comes to solving problems.
