About Elliot

My name is Elliot Uffens and I’m excited to meet future students! I have had all kinds of teachers with a variety of teaching styles, and I feel confident I can find a style that fits any student. I’m aware that there will be things outside of my expertise, yet there are many people I have connections with which I am able to reach out to in those situations. My mission is to help students have a good level of comfort with the piano, as well as helping students set and reach personal goals.

I believe having 30 minute lessons is the ideal plan for teaching piano.

I’m very passionate about piano and would love to teach more students. I’ve been told I work well with all age groups and I don’t see a reason to argue that idea! In lessons I let students with the desire to take the lead, but have no problem making individualized plans for students and helping them get where they want to be. I like to make sure students are able to understand some of the reasoning behind any composer’s music so that they can become confident and comfortable with music as a whole.

I prefer 30 minute lessons, because I’ve found it to be the sweet spot where I can give the help students need and they don’t need to pay for the full hour every time.
