About the lesson
I have a high school diploma and an Associate's degree.
I am currently working on my biology/education Bachelor's at FSU in Tallahassee, FL. and I graduate in December 2017.
I have had several opportunities to teach school-aged children from elementary to high school in the Leon County classroom setting, and write lessons about various topics in the Biology field.
My teaching is structured so that student thinking is at the forefront of the lesson. That way, throughout the course of the lesson, students will have a chance to unpack their thoughts regarding scientific phenomena and explore them as well, leading to a better grasp of content and a deeper understanding of why they think a certain way about the concepts.
My techniques involve a lot of probing questions that are supposed to expose students' thoughts and have them explain what they are thinking. That way, as they work, they will be guided to true understanding and the ability to make their own discoveries.

I have been giving lessons for the past 3-4 years of my college coursework in my teacher training program.
I have taught several classes of 20-30 students on average in my time with the program.
The results that my students have achieved thanks to me have been: 1) more accurate explanations and comprehension on end-of-lesson assessments, 2) higher chances of getting to graduate high school and go to college, and 3) active interest in Science.
Natalie is a very hard working, organized and conscientious individual. Anyone would be lucky to have her teach or tutor them.
