I believe in approaching each student differently as each student learns and works at their own pace. Everyone has their own specific needs, so I like to begin the first lesson by hearing the student play first. If they can bring music they are currently working on or have played before, that is a great start! From there, we can assess the next step. After the first lesson, I like to begin each lesson with technique exercises in order to gain/maintain technical proficiency.
I have been playing the violin for 18 years, am in the process of completing my bachelors and masters degrees in violin performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and have won various competitions leading to solo performances. I also have experience with teaching all ages.

Haig and I have collaborated extensively for the past two years, and he is an excellent musician who works hard and is very talented. He has previous teaching experience with beginner, intermediate, and advanced players and is an attentive and thoughtful musician and teacher.
Haig and I are roommates and fellow musicians at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and I've known him for 3+ years. He is an A+ student at school, hard-working, and extremely passionate about music. He has never hesitated to help me when I've needed help with my own musical studies, and I believe that his love for helping others will shine through his teaching.
