Music is a powerful way to influence our minds and emotions, so I like to keep our passion for music our main source of motivation in our lessons. My teaching approach is based depending on the level of playing of each student.
Beginners - (1-3 months) These students will start with the essential elements book, which would help them read music while learning the position correctly at the same time.
Intermediate - (3-9 months) Hopefully start with Suzuki, and add some technic exercises which would help the student keep developing their playing. Also, if the student wishes to learn other music just for their enjoyment (pop, rock, jazz, country)
Advanced - These students may start with the music they played last, and some new repertoire may be given in accordance to the student’s needs. (Maybe a new concerto, or etudes such as Kreutzer or Rode)
I am a freelance violinist based in Dallas area. I have performed with Plano Symphony and Irving Symphony. Also, I have had the pleasure to share stage with well known artists such as Placido Domingo, Reneé Fleming, Itzahk Perlman, Joshua Bell, and Vanessa Williams.
I love teaching as well, and have helped many students in the DFW area with their school examinations and auditions. Most of my advanced students have been able to win a spot with All Region and All State orchestras.
Lessons usually last 30 min, so the rate for 30 min lessons is $40. However, if the student wishes 45 min or 1hr lessons, this can be arranged.
*Performed alongside well-known musicians, including Joshua Bell, Itzhak Perlman, Placido Domingo, Nadja Salerno, James Galway, and others.

Sara has been a student of Dr. Stephen Redfield, a graduate of CCM and student of Dorothy Delay. Dr. Bruce Berg, graduate of The Juilliard School. And currently working with Professor Julia Bushkova, who is a respected violinist and extraordinary professor at the University of North Texas.
My son has been learning violin from Sara for nearly 2 years and he has come a long way. Sara loves teaching and is very dedicated to her profession. She is extremely patient with kids and motivates them to perform to their full capability. Her hard work and dedication to music is obvious in her teaching. My son is lucky to be her student!
Ms. Sara has been the violin private lesson teacher of my daughter since the 5th grade and my son since the 7th grade. They are now going on to 11th grade and the freshman year of college, respectively, so we have taken lessons from her for almost 6 years. She has taught my daughter from the very beginning; My daughter did not have any previous experience playing the violin, so Ms.Sara has taught her everything she knows. Thanks to Ms.sara, my daughter has made the all-region orchestra (we are in region 24 of Texas, one of the most competitive regions) for four years in a row, which was every single year that she auditioned. She has also made the chamber orchestra in both middle school and high school thanks to Ms.Sara helping her with the audition music. My son has also made the chamber orchestdas in middle + high school and he has made all region twice thanks to her. He has also earned exemplary musician awards in solo/ensemble music competitions. Ms.Sara offers very high quality lessons and has the ability to teach very challenging pieces effectively, such as the all region etudes. Teaching challenging or unfamiliar pieces is never an issue, she has an extensive violin training and has either already played or can easily sight read any piece we bring her. She is also very great with musicality and has helped both of my kids become more expressive when playing solos. Ms.Sara is always very prompt and always makes sure that all lessons are scheduled in the most timely manner possible. If one of us are unavailable for a lesson, she always makes sure to communiate with us and schedule a makeup lesson in a timely manner. We have never had issue in all six years of being her students. We even bought professional violins from her. She is also very adaptable. During the pandemic, we could no longer do in person lessons, but ms.sara was able to set up online lessons and continue to teach well despite a change in environment and circumstances. We highly recommend this teacher.
