About the lesson
Hello! My name is Kristine Liang and I am a current student at Tulane University in New Orleans. I believe I can help your child in a variety of subjects such as math, science history, and English. In high school, I was president and co founder for a volunteer organization called GlamourGals. I also took several advanced and college level classes such as AP Literature and Composition, AP Language and Composition, AP Art History, AP French, AP Statistics, AP Macroeconomics, and AP European History. I received perfect scores in both AP English I was also apart of every national honors society including the National Honors Society. I work really well with kids, however I usually prefer students K-9, but ages 10-12 can be considered as well and discussed. I can tutor over zoom as well given the circumstances! My teaching approach starts with getting your child’s attention and asking questions about what they think they need help on, an concept they don’t understand, a problem they keep getting wrong, etc. I take note of all of your child’s concerns and I organize them by subject so that we can tackle each issue in each subject in order. When teaching, I don’t just explain, I like to physically demonstrate and have the student answer questions and participate in the lesson. This keeps them engaged as well as retain information better!

About Krissy
I’m currently a student at Tulane University studying law. My ultimate goal is to work hard and get into a good law school and start a business one day! I’m pretty well rounded in the arts as well, I play piano and guitar, I was a former competitive dancer, I love video editing, fashion design/construction, and beauty/makeup to name a few! I also have my own YouTube channel where I do several different types of videos that I hope can make in impact on someone somewhere. Along with that, I started a fashion line in high school and also a cosmetics line just this past year. I pretty much dabble in everything because I never want to regret not giving something a try just because it’s scary, like deciding whether or not to get on the rollercoaster! Yet, with my help, your child will not only be tutored, he will also be mentored, and gain skills outside along with the academics.
