It begins with what you want to learn and how far along you are to start. Do you want to learn how to use a new computer that you've just bought? Perhaps a new smart phone, tablet, or gaming system? Do you want to learn how to safely browse the internet? Set up a Facebook profile and connect with your loved ones? Start your own e-Commerce business? Become more proficient with MS Word or Excel to create your own household budget? Self-publish your first e-book? Write your first book? Install a new piece of software? Shop online? Really, there are very few computer related skills that I don't have and if you have something specific that you need help with, please message me and we'll chat it over. If I don't know enough about it to teach you, I'll be honest and try to help you find someone more qualified so please reach out to me!
I began using computers as a child and quickly became both Windows and Internet proficient before I'd even reached high school. I received my Associates Degree in Computer Science in 2012 with a graduating GPA of 3.98 and went on to receive a full-tuition scholarship to complete my Bachelor's Degree in the same field with an emphasis on Computer Programming & Multimedia Design. I have built dozens of professional HTML and CSS based websites for various companies, spent 7+ years providing professional technical support for web-based systems, email, domain names, photo editing, logo design & more, and currently run my own e-Commerce website as well as multiple blogs.
Cost of travel is per 15 miles. For example: If you require me to travel 30 miles the cost of travel will be $10. Cost of travel is per visit, not per person, so you can save money by getting 1 or more friends to join the lesson (they will need to pay their own hourly rate for the lesson, though).
For group lessons of 5 or more people, the cost of travel will be waived entirely regardless of distance (as long as it is in the Las Vegas/Henderson valley).
If you're not comfortable meeting for lessons in my home or your home, I am willing to meet you at a public location that is conducive to lessons and willing to host us such as a coffee shop, library, or community center but you will need to cover any fees that the public location may charge. I am also open to meeting at a coffee shop for lessons provided it is in a safe area of town and we can find an adequate space to work. (Bad Owl Coffee on Eastern, for example, is amazing during the mid-morning and early afternoon hours when it's not super busy and as long as we buy a coffee they're very relaxed on how long we stay and what we're doing while there).
