My teaching method is based on my students' or clients' academic needs, available resources, as well as socioeconomic factors that may impact classroom performance. Offering a variety of tasks in which students can show mastery of the content is key to a student's success, as it allows students to use more than one or two reasoning skills. I typically begin a lesson with a warm-up to review a previous lesson or introduce a new upcoming concept. This allows me to gauge where a student is as far as understanding of the topic/concept being studied and adjust my instruction accordingly.
I am a Science teacher with a passion for helping students reach their full academic potential in an engaging online lesson format that meets the needs of all learning modalities. I have been tutoring for 11 years, with experience in the following subjects: Earth Science, Astronomy, Chemistry, Physical Science, Biology, Geology, Oceanography, Reading/Literacy Skills, Digital Citizenship/Life Skills, Middle Grades Math, Algebra 1, the Stem Word Program, English/Language Arts, World History, GA History, and Organizational Skills.
