My name is Hope Ton. I possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child and Adolescent Development from Cal State University of Fullerton. I am certified in ELAR 4-8 by passing the state of Texas test through the A+Texas Teachers Alternative Program.
I believe in being a facilitator, developer, and a hybrid when it comes to my teaching methods. As a facilitator I help students learn by doing. As a developer I guide students in a group setting to accomplish tasks and learn what works or doesn’t for my students. Also, a hybrid method gives me flexibility to tailor a personal style that’s right for my students' coursework.
My greatest strengths include inspiring and motivating students, and my strong work ethic. I love to teach and teach with a passion. I'm confident that I will provide an in-depth learning filled with experience, productive exercises, meaningful advice, and lots of direct support and encouragement.
From my experience as a substitute teacher, teacher, and a tutor with Grand Prairie ISD, Fort Worth ISD, Crowley ISD, Best Brains Center, and with Shinning Stars Homeschooling, I am confident in my ability to be a valuable asset as an educator.
Over the past four years, I have had many opportunities to teach all subjects from K-5th grade with diverse groups of students, including those with learning disabilities, those who performed at grade level, and those who were gifted/exceptional. I have a strong passion to educate young minds and help them blossom into well-rounded, responsible individuals.
