About the lesson
My education philosophy is student-centered! I like to connect with my students, so that I can figure out who they are and how they learn. My lesson plan has no solid format; I mold it in a way that works for whomever I am tutoring. Typically I start off asking how much they know about different concepts within the lesson, and from there, formulate the best way to help them understand what we're going over. I tutor 9-12, but I am sure that I could create a lesson plan for any age group.

About Brieyiah
My name is Brieyiah Cossette, and I am an Earth science education major at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. I am very passionate about what I am learning, and it's a dream of mine to inspire students to take care of Earth by understanding its processes. I am unique tutor because I was once in the students' shoes. In K-12, I struggled with science and never believed that I would understand, yet now I am an Earth science education major in my junior year of college. I empathize with students who have a hard time with science, and I will try my hardest to instill in them that they can learn anything, no matter how hard they struggle!
