About Khushi

I am an Economics student at the University of Warwick with a strong foundation in quantitative and analytical skills, achieving a first-class in my first year. I completed A Levels in Maths, Economics and Further Maths acheiving A*A*A, with 12 GCSE Grade 9s. I achieved full marks in paper 3 of my Economics A Level Edexcel, 92% in Maths A Level overall.

A Level Tutoring: I have two years of experience tutoring A-Level Maths and Economics, during which I have worked with 12 students who have consistently performed above expectations. For example, in 2024, the majority of my students achieved at least a grade A, with several attaining an A*. My focus is always on adding value, and all my previous students have improved by at least two grades since I began working with them, with some achieving even greater progress. I am familiar with all major exam boards, but in particular Edexcel. I also teach with Titanium Tutors.

11 plus tuition: As a former student of both the City of London School for Girls and the Henrietta Barnett School, I have firsthand experience with the 11+ entrance exams. Having navigated these challenges myself, I understand the journey and have developed proven techniques to help children excel. I specialise in personalised strategies, including time management, critical thinking, and exam-specific techniques, to build confidence and maximize performance. I also have experience preparing students for rigorous interviews, ensuring they present themselves as strong candidates. I started by 11 plus business Magical Minds Learning back in 2018 which I still run to this day. Through it, I’ve successfully helped hundreds of students gain entry into top private and grammar schools, including City of London, Bancroft's, Chigwell, Henrietta Barnett, Chelmsford County etc, reflecting my expertise in guiding children to success. I am very familiar with CSSE and CEM tests.

About the lesson

I begin each tutoring session by discussing the tutee's individual requirements and identifying the specific areas of the specification they want to focus on. While many students initially request general topic reviews, I’ve found that most—if not all—ultimately need focused support with exam practice and technique. The key challenge often lies in translating their knowledge into high-quality, A* answers.

To address this, I place a strong emphasis on guiding my tutees through the process of answering past paper questions across all topic areas. During our sessions, I help them refine their essay structure, develop and apply higher-order analytical and evaluation skills, and, crucially, demonstrate how to tailor their answers to case study information or incorporate relevant real-world examples effectively.

I teach all lessons online. I use Google Meet for live video interactions and leverage my iPad and Notability app to create a highly interactive learning experience. During sessions, I share my iPad screen to draw real-time diagrams and annotations, while maintaining face-to-face interaction via my laptop. After each lesson, I send a PDF copy of the annotated Notability document to the student, ensuring they have a clear and comprehensive set of notes for review.

This approach allows my sessions to be as engaging and interactive as traditional face-to-face lessons while enabling me to tutor students from anywhere in the world.
