About Violet
My interest in economics grew from curiosity about how societies allocate resources, make decisions, and respond to crises. This passion led me to complete a B.A. in Economics followed by an M.Sc. in Development Economics, equipping me with both theoretical foundations and applied analytical tools. Over the past 11 years, I have guided students from introductory levels to those tackling advanced economic analysis, research projects, and professional exams. I find great satisfaction in helping learners gain clarity, confidence, and a sense of purpose in their studies.
I approach teaching with patience, structured explanations, and practical relevance. I use a combination of interactive exercises, case studies, real-life examples, and graphical reasoning to ensure students develop a deep understanding rather than rote memorization. I encourage learners to ask questions freely, think critically, and build independent analytical skills that are vital for success in both academics and career pursuits.
Beyond the classroom, I engage in economic research, policy review, and data analysis, which enriches my teaching and helps me provide students with contemporary insights. Teaching economics is profoundly rewarding because I witness learners transform abstract ideas into practical knowledge, develop critical thinking, and gain the tools to make informed decisions. Supporting this growth remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

Economics becomes truly engaging when learners understand its connection to real-world decisions, societal trends, and personal financial choices. In my lessons, I focus on teaching microeconomics, macroeconomics, market behavior, supply and demand, and economic policy in ways that are meaningful and memorable. I emphasize conceptual understanding over memorization, ensuring students grasp the logic behind theories and can apply them to practical situations such as business decisions, budgeting, and global economic issues. Each session is interactive, using case studies, graphical analysis, and guided exercises to make complex ideas approachable and relevant. I aim to create a safe and encouraging space where learners feel comfortable exploring intricate topics, asking questions, and making connections between abstract concepts and everyday experience.
Lesson plans are tailored to the student’s current level and academic goals. Beginners focus on understanding basic principles of demand and supply, opportunity cost, market structures, and government interventions. Intermediate students develop skills in statistical analysis, equilibrium modeling, elasticity interpretation, and applied scenario planning. Advanced learners study economic forecasting, policy evaluation, game theory, and in-depth problem-solving for examinations or research projects. Structured exercises, guided discussions, and applied examples reinforce learning at every stage and build confidence in handling complex economic reasoning.
Economics lessons cultivate analytical thinking, structured decision-making, and clear communication of ideas. Many learners feel empowered once they can interpret real economic phenomena, assess risks, and evaluate strategies using sound reasoning. My goal is to transform learners’ relationship with economics, helping them approach problems logically, gain practical insights, and build skills that extend beyond academics into real-world decision-making.
