I have an Associates in ASL and am currently working towards my Bachelors in Deaf education. I feel open communication is most effective when learning. We will use mostly sign language, however there will be times we can use our voices to make sure everything is being understood. Pictures and visual aids are a HUGE part of my curriculum and I feel helps students to grasp onto information easier!
I have been tutoring ASL students for the past 7 years and taught a level one class for an internship. I founded the ASL honor society at my high school as well as the ASL club at my college. I have taught around 60 students with a 100% success rate in both high school and college.
