My teaching approach is hands-on and greatly favors arts integration. My lessons will often engage students in the core subject areas through creative writing, visual arts, theatre, and dance. These activities are proven to improve students' information retention, classroom involvement, and peer relationships. This is not to mention that students are also having fun and there is nothing I want more than students to enjoy learning. Of course, the nature of the activities will adjust with age and the comfort levels of my students. I am adaptable to the needs of individuals as I understand that not every approach is "one size fits all."

Hi! I am an elementary education major at the University of Central Florida. Over the course of four years I have tutored students from fifth grade to twelfth grade and am looking to continue my practice. I can tutor students one-on-one or in small groups; both I enjoy and have seen positive results in. My tutoring career began with my peers in high school as I helped them earn those coveted As on their research papers and showcase their works in school publications. My horizons expanded when I entered college and tutored elementary students in an after school program. Some of these students barely spoke English but with the help of a co-mentor they were holding full conversations in English by the end of their first semester with us.
