About Anna

After working for about 10 years in civil and environmental engineering consulting, I switched careers and became a full-time mathematics instructor and tutor at private schools in Fulton and Cobb Counties. I have experience with a wide range of students of varying abilities and interests as well as levels of executive functioning.

Because of my background, I tutor and teach from an application-based philosophy. Math, on its own, is fun, but the real-life application of mathematical concepts is the ultimate goal. Because of the universal concepts of math, individualized instruction can provide a creative and different experience for frustrated students who have been exposed to a single method of mathematical instruction. In addition, my math tutoring includes organization, note-taking, and study skills to increase mathematical understanding and performance.

A travel fee of $3/mile is incurred for locations > 10 mi from my home. Cancellation with no penalty can be done up to 6 hours prior to a lesson's start time.
