In all my years of tutoring and teaching, I believe the best way is "total immersion", or teaching the basic structure (like how verb forms work, common nouns, ect.) and then speaking only in the new language.
There is a lot of scientific study that shows this is the most effective way to learn a language. I give small daily assignments and small weekly tasks. I don't like homework on paper, so my assignments will be more "hands-on" (like teaching you to cook a recipe in English, asking you to go to the library and find a book, or even watching an American movie and explaining it!).
I believe learning a language can be fun, and that's what I wish for it to be for you- a fun experience!
I am a college graduate who has been tutoring for over ten years. I was an exchange student (Mexico) myself, so I understand exactly how hard it is to learn a new language in a new place! But I did learn, and if you become my student, I will teach you not just English, but how to learn English as well.
Rose has been my friend for years now and she has always had a passion for language and teaching. She has worked with people of all ages and has helped them reach their personal and academic goals.
Rose and I have known each other since high school. She is patient and kind and will make a great tutor.
