I utilize interactive and fun PowerPoints, create and record my own videos on physics topics, and strive to make physics approachable for all students. I believe all students should have the opportunity to feel confident when dealing with physics problems.
I’m a TCNJ double major graduate in Physics and Secondary Education. I have experience teaching all levels of physics, from College Prep to AP 2. I also have experience teaching effectively using virtual mediums, such as using google classroom and meets. I look forward to helping you understand and feel confident in physics!

Ms. Horna was my teacher during my high school years. In 11th grade, she took over as a student teacher for my physics class and I immediately fell in love with her style of teaching, which was through examples and diagrams, and planning out the problem before rushing to equations. She made a class I originally was dreading to go to something fascinating! Ms. Horna made me fall in love with science and the “why” to everything that was physics. I took AP Physics solely because I knew she was the teacher. She was extremely vibrant, passionate, and clearly loved what she was doing, which was teaching and physics! Ms. Horna has the upmost confidence in her students and that’s what made me feel like I can solve any physics problem! Because of her I loved science again and followed my dream of becoming an engineer. If you want somebody that is thorough and hard working for her students, she definitely is the teacher you need in your life!
Ms. Horna was my AP Physics teacher in my senior year of high school and she greatly helped me in my understanding of physics. Throughout my experience as her student, she was always going the extra mile to ensure that my peers and I were understanding her methods while solving problems and the concepts being applied. She was always prepared with multiple interpretations of topics to better our understanding, and she was always willing to answer any extra questions we had. Honestly, her passion towards teaching physics (and her love of physics in general) led me towards pursuing a major in Astrophysics. Her teaching gave me a solid base in physics that I still use currently, even in my higher level courses in physics. Her incredible instruction on physics concepts, as well as her helpful problem solving tips and tricks, have allowed me to flourish in physics on all fronts. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of help regarding physics. She is extremely qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful.
I was a student in CarriEve's physics class when I was in high school, and I think that she is a great teacher. Despite physics being a pretty difficult subject, she helps students master the material with a variety of different types of instruction and practice problems to complete. She also makes her lessons engaging, fun and relatable, which makes learning physics a lot more exciting. She encourages you to ask questions and make mistakes, and creates a very accepting learning environment. CarriEve was one of my favorite teachers in high school, and anyone who has her as an instructor is very lucky!
Ms. Horna taught my high school Physics class with great passion and ability. She provides the tools for self improvement and teaches an actual understanding of physics past numbers and equations. So much so that in college I reached out and she provided extra documents, PowerPoints, and lessons that helped me grasp the material more efficiently than my professor at the time could. Ms. Horna communicates the complicated part of physics in a down-to-earth, absorbable way that allows for rapid improvement and true understanding of the topic. Coming from TCNJ, Ms. Horna is well equipped with the skills required of an exceptional teacher and tutor, I couldn’t recommend her more.
