Realistically the teaching method will depend on the student, you are in control and I am flexible.
Generally I expect many students may want to use these sessions to develop their designs between university crits or tutor groups or polish off their portfolio for a final submission. For this the more you bring to a session the more you will get out of it; pens, paper, tracing sheet, sketches, ideas, topics, questions. All are welcome.
Equally if a student just wants a quick discussion on a topic or idea, or simply wants to discuss verbal or physical presentation I am happy to give my thoughts or advice on their work.
I am a recently qualified Architect with international and UK work and competition experience.
I graduated with a 1st class degree for both Part 1 (LJMU) and Part 2 (GSA) having won the Deutsche Bank Award for Architecture 2012 and a GIA commendation in 2014. I was nominated for the Bronze Presidents Medal in 2012 and the Landscape Drawing Award in 2015.
During university I was involved in design crits and workshops with younger students and since graduating I have worked with 2 AJ100 companies developing constructed schemes in the UK and competition winning schemes abroad.
I have a good knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, SKetchUP, Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator.
No cancellation fee - Appreciate student commitments and availability may change suddenly but a 2 hour notice would be appreciated.
I can travel to the west end, city centre or southside/shawlands areas. If I can't make the travel I won't accept the lesson. If alternative arrangements can be made I am flexible.
Perfect! Peter tutored me through my second and third year studying Architecture. He helped with everything from design to technology to learning the computer programmes. The lessons were always clear and productive, he gave good advice on how to develop my projects, was full of great ideas and explained everything thoroughly! Definitely recommend!
