About the lesson

I approach each lesson individually meeting the learner where s/he is while reviewing, assessing and then advancing the topic lesson. I build relationships and instill confidence while respecting the ESL's culture and language; thus, the teaching becomes reciprocal. I have been a Teacher's Trainer, a teacher, a curriculum developer, and a special education assistant. I believe in varied lessons so that the learner has success each time we meet.

I have been teaching for 10 years in-person and tutoring on-line to ages 5-9 and 18 and above. I have lived abroad for 7 years. I love to teach. I graduated with honors and have attended many development courses. I use texts, art, literacy, writing, and songs to encourage verbal fluency and proper grammar.
