About Oliver
After college, I left to work in Hangzhou, China, where I worked as an English as a Second Language teacher for TOBY English. There, I was in charge of children ages 3-6, designed my own lesson plans, and lead or assisted in student group activities. While in China, I learned how to adapt to an unfamiliar work location, how to live in another country, and different views on work ethic and teamwork. It was a most rewarding and interesting experience in my life. Unfortunately, my time with TOBY was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and my wife and I were emergency evacuated out of the country in January.
