During my internship, I taught Greek to Spanish people at the University of Zaragoza and there I found that the best way to teach is experiential. In other words, the students understand in depth the teaching material if it is accompanied by certain speakings, which go beyond the standard exercises, but are used in combination with those. For the exercises I use textbooks for teaching the Greek language as a foreign language, as well as authentic materials from many different sources with different degrees of difficulty per level for the best possible familiarization of the student with the real data. Also, students show more interest when the teaching of grammar and vocabulary is done in combination with references to Greek culture. For example, it is effective when teaching linguistic phenomena that students have encountered in interesting literary texts, such as those of Nikos Kazantzakis. However, I always keep in mind that my teaching is tailored to the interests, needs and level of each student.
-teaching Greek of all levels to Spanish speakers in the University of Zaragoza (erasmus placement for 3 months). Even after the internship, my students sent me messages to thank me and to ask me questions about modern Greek.
-private lessons for Greek students (about two years)
The Greek courses I provide cost $ 20 per hour and they are available online.
Cretan, originally from Anopoli Sfakion, with love for Greece, its special language and culture. I am glad to communicate my love and passion for the language, as a carrier of Greek culture, to people of any nationality who were interested in Greece and chose to know its language, although it is not one of the easiest.
We come from the same town, but only got to know each other as Uni students.
Katerina is a truly genlte, tender, patient and supportive friend and person. Throughout our years of study, she has been disciplined, methodical, rational on one hand, passionate and motivated on the other.
She has in-depth knowledge of the Greek language, both modern and ancient.
All the above would make her very well-suited to a Greek language tutor's position.
