My approach to teaching is making sure that everyone is having fun while learning a sport that will further enhance their health and physical abilities. I want to create an inclusive and exciting space for all my students to grow as players.
I am a college student who has been playing tennis for 17 years and giving lessons for 5 years, and I strive to provide my students with an instructive, fun and professional tennis experience, no matter age or skill level.
Thank you for taking the time to read my posting! I am a college student at the University of Utah who has been playing tennis for 17 years, 5 of which I have spent coaching. I am currently studying Archaeological Sciences and Spanish while continuing to play tennis with my family and league. I have won over a dozen junior league opens as well as getting second place in the Arizona State Tennis Championships when I was 15. Playing competitively has shown me the value of hard work, but more importantly, it has taught me to really love the sport and enjoy playing it. Now, I am looking to extend my experience and love for this sport to others in my community. The beautiful things about tennis are that, 1.) anybody can learn it, regardless of age, gender or experience, 2.) it is great exercise and promotes teamwork, and 3.) it is incredibly fun and accessible! I also have experience playing badminton, table tennis and pickle ball, which I would be equally happy to instruct. I have mostly taught tennis to young children and high school students who are interested in getting into the sport, but I am welcoming to all who would either like to learn or improve on their game. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to seeing you on the court in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas in the valley!
